well microsoft has released another program for beta testing, windows one care live. Which basically is an all in one pc health program. It gives you a clear indication of what status your computer is in, also with integrated anti-virus/spyware and a firewall.

It even has an inbuilt backup/restore program so you can easily backup your computer or documents.

It also includes an automatic tune up which will do things to make you computer run faster and smoother. It does defragmentation, removing of unnecessary files and makes sure that you have the latest updates from microsoft.

You can check out more at the windows onecare live website at:
http://www.windowsonecare.com

The system requirements are:
Windows® XP (Home Edition, Professional, Media Center Edition, or Tablet PC Edition) with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Internet Explorer 6 for Windows XP SP2 (IE 6.0.2900.2180)
PC with 300 MHz or higher CPU clock speed
256 MB of RAM
550 MB of available hard disk space (on system partition)
56 kbps or faster Internet connection (broadband recommended)
Readable/writeable CD or DVD drive (CD-RW or DVD-RW, aka "CD or DVD burner"), or external hard drive. (Necessary for Backup and Restore functionality, but not required for installing Windows OneCare.)

(From the microsoft website),

and also the programs know to conflict with windows onecare live are:
Symantec Norton Internet Security 2005
Symantec Norton Antivirus 2005
Symantec Norton SystemWorks 2005
McAfee Internet Security Suite 2005
McAfee VirusScan 8.0/2004

Looks interesting. Might check it out.

You probably should have quoted those specs though since they are from the Microsoft site.
