Lately, my Window Explorer tends to freeze all the time. I end up having to end it, and never can organize my files like I want. I’ve sweeped for spyware, check virus and made sure my firewall is in place. What am I missing? Any suggestions?

You might want to run a system file check first to see if it can repair any system files that are missing or corrupted.
Go to Start->Run and type in sfc /scannow and hit OK. Let it scan. If it finds any files missing/corrupted, it may ask for the Windows CD. |

QUOTE plus u can upload the latest explorer version. from microsoft.com site/ Not with Windows Explorer you can not update Microsoft only provides updates for Internet Explorer. The one doudou is talking about is where you use to move/copy files. Right click on Start Menu and choose Explorer. That one |

There is a way to launch each explorer process separately. This most likely will not fix the root cause of the problem but it might help in diagnostics.
From My computer Tools>Folder Options>View Check Launch folder windows in separate process |
