Hey, I am going to get Photoshop and I was wondering what version I should get... Photoshop Elements 6 ?
cs3 cs2 extented version? Since it is the latest version? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

There aren't huge upgrade additions that really make the newer ones any different... I think it is how they package it with other programs. I am thinking if you are trying to grab Photoshop, even illegally, I think you probably wouldn't care on either.

If you are actually planning on paying for it, then I would start researching either price or the compatibility to how you want to use it. And it will be quite pricey. I was lucky enough to have an educational copy of Photoshop, or I would be looking for something cheap.

I know there is a Key gen program for PS CS2 cause I used it. And it worked fine, I believe it's called Paradox. :\
If you get a PhotoShop CS2 download, it comes with ImageReady as well. I'm pretty sure there is a video on YouTube if I'm correct. The only downside is that's illegal. Eh, up to you.

I first started off with photoshop cs2. This was a decent program at the time and i would say is better than any other out there now (other than the versions of photoshop after it).

I do believe that the latest version of photoshop is the best but there isnt THAT much difference to it. i have noticed that in cs3 you do the animation in photoshop and then save it there whereas on cs2 (i think) you had to go to imageready (which i didnt get with the cs3 master collection so im guessing dont need it?)

So, if you want the better product, get cs3. If you want the cheaper option but still great quality, go with cs2! smile.gif

It depends entirely on what you want to do with it, if you're serious about your hobby whether it be retouching or making graphics, then get CS3, if you do it every now and then and don't worry about the latest technologies, then get CS2, if you just want basic tools then get Elements
