Windows 2000 is OK but WindowsXP is better in my opnion. If you have good hardware . Atleast 256 MB Ram and above 1.0 GHz Intel procesor (not that high Hz is a good measure..but 1.0+ should do fine) you should get atleast WindowsXP home Edition. Also download and Burn a KNOPPIX cd (Google Knoppix and Burn the ISO and place it in CD-ROM and reboot..make sure you have boot by CD-ROM activated in BIOS , or it comes b4 boot from HardDisk) KNOPPIX is a special form of linux which will not install any thing and run directly from CD (it is slow as compared linux installed on Hardisk as CD-ROM is slower) Tell us if u like this thing.
If you are impressed ..and it seems easy to use for you ..may be u can shift to Linux (thats is if u dont use a kind of software which is only avilable for Windows) |
