I'm looking to become somewhat knowledgeable in the area of programing one day and would like to know what some of you "experts" recommend as far as good reads on the subject for beginners.

Thanks.

You can look into those cookbook series by Oreilly. They cover quite a wide range of topics and programming languages, including but not limited to MySQL, PHP, VB, .Net, Java ......

One tips to be a good programmer, concentrate on the concept of programming, not the language itself. Once you can understand and apply the concept properly, the language is merely a tools for you to accomplish the job. Google helps a lot in the language section, hehe tongue.gif
