This is a quick and easy way to get a proxy, say for example if you get banned from somewhere.

It's using googles translation services, and hardly needs an explanation of how to use. But here's one for the biffs.

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...://www.sncf.com

Replace sncf.com with whatever you want.......

There's another way to do this with Google. Go to http://www.google.com/gwt/n, and type in the address you want in the box provided. Click Go, and it'll show you a page as if you were viewing it on a mobile phone.
The disadvantages of doing it this way is that you cannot see the styles of the page. Also, if a page is too long, you'll have to view it one part at a time, browsing through them using the Next Page link.

i will have to try this at school. the filter there makes it nearly impossible to use the interenet. it filters everything. for example: phone, grafitti, etc. it's maddening but you used to be able to use those free proxy sites but they blocked them too.

hopefully this will get through the net!

Google used to have the http://www.google.com/gwt/n link on its WAP homepage as Google Proxy. But its quite a pain to see the websites on your PC without any formatting. I think a better idea would be view the page in Google Cache (if the page you want to view is not updated regularly). If your ISP doesn't block the free proxy servers then you can simply use http://anonym.to for proxy. Its the most popular web-proxy around and if your ISP has blocked out free proxys as well(as is the case with organicbmx) then chances are you won't be able to access this one either.

Most schools have filters that block out Google's translatingand cache services, and also most proxy sites. So you probably cannot use the proxies mentioned in the above posts in your school. Although using proxies usually isn't against the rules in schools, you still should not do illegal activities using the proxy.

But this topic isn't about using proxies in schools. It's about using proxies to bypass a ban. Which is also a bad thing...
