i have juz ercently uploaded some files onto my server space and the pictures dont work
 !!. seems to be 403 forbidden when i try to access the files. you can access it here http://harriko.astahost.com/QUOTE Forbidden You don't have permission to access /**.jpg on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. thanks |

is this because of the hotlink? if i want it working i should turn it off or put a full link to the picture via the html file yes?

I'm using up your bandwidth now with the picture I linked to
You should turn on the hotling protection and only allow the sites you would like to use the image on to hotlink. I attached the settings I use. Nils

i am having trouble now with the pictures. i have activated the hotlink and i cant use the pictures myself. used the same settings as u showed me. how can i use it with it on?

Where are you using the picture? here in astahost, then you have to set the pach for the post in astahost where it's allowed. If you give the right to http://www.astahost.com/index.php then everyone here can link to your pictures I think you can use the topic id to show the picture in a specific topic. http://www.astahost.com/index.php?showtopi...t=0&#entry15577 If you try that link and the picture I hotlinked show up show up then you can try your own post. I get a 404 and a 403 error for the prototype. The other picture show up with this link http://harriko.astahost.com/
Not sure what you did Nils

Most of the files stored in windows are sometimes given EXTENSION IN CAPS. So please check the Case...
Unix/Linux servers are case sensitive when it comes to filenames... |
