I was in the Enemy Territory craze long ago but it got very boring and I decided to quit playing it. But to you that havent played it yet then get it! Its worth it, you`ll be hooked for a while!

i wouldnt say enemy territory was better than any of the games you listed, i never really liked wolfenstein, its just my opinion, and if u have played wolfenstein then u have played enemy territory, i think the only difference is the classes a little bit? and some maps im sure, i think battlefield beats this definately, but then again it is a free game and that does make it gain alot, i just never found it very fun, maybe not realistic enough for me, maybe just not what i had been expecting from it.

I liked it, but the servers were really laggy. Most servers weren't good and I would get the connection interupted message for a while, but if you could find a good server it was nice. I liked the objectives system, like in the train car map with the big gun. There was always a nice battle by the track switch and on the small train car that you had to drive.

I would realy play HALO instead of ET when i had a Xbox, but since i don't have one and my parents don't allow me to buy one i play ET. My cousin has a Xbox and HALO 2 so i playd it a while and i think it's the best game after FarCry. If you don't want to spend a lot of money or you don't have any then ET is maybe more your suite. It's Open Source so there are many people who make new maps and that's why you should never get bored of it.

Allthough ET is a good game and even better is that it is free i have to agree with every 1 else im not a big halo fan BUT halo does beat ET in a majority of things such as hardly any lagg better maps etc etc but for people who havent played W:ET before its defintly one that i'd rate out of 7/10 maybe just getting to a 8 because its completely free.

It's a good game, but there's only one thing that irritates me, which is the audio support it has for Linux is outdated and crappy.
It still uses OSS instead of ALSA.

I dont know if anyone still plays Wolfenstein Enemy Territory but the are coming out with [Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. I dont know if it will be as good as the the orginal but I can only hope.

Enemy Territory ROCKS!!!! only thing I dislike, is it takes too many shots to kill a guy, a headshot should be instakill in every game! no matter what!
ALOT ALOT ALOT better than HALO , whys ppl like halo so much? it sucks hard... nothing special about it... at least WolfET has alot of new interesting features
Experience points system, the classes add so much to the game! I wish like cod2 would have classes like that, thats my dream game: WolfET classes + better graphics & "Realistic" damage also objective based play like it has
example: map Goldrush , allied engineers must repair a tank and escort it to a bank. axis must keep destroying the tank , & build tanktrap barriers to impead the tank, allies gotta dynomite those barriers. If axis destroys tank, they gotta defend it and not allow allies to rebuild it, allies gotta bring tank past two barriers to the bank, where tank auto destroys a wall: access to the bank they must then take to boxes of gold from there and bring em to a truck, after that they must escort truck past to barriers while axis have to destroy truck & repair barriers
This game just totally rocks in ever way, no game even comes close at all, the only improvement I can see is id LOVE to use CoD2 weapons and damages
ALSO! theres flamethrowers! deployable MG42s! Airstrikes! Artillery barrages! player placeable landmines!!! ammo delivery men! medics! covert ops that can steal enemy uniform & disguise, this game just totally rocks

about 2000 servers that xfire sees anyway!!

I love ET's ranking system and Objective based gameplay. ET is unlike any other 1st person shooter and has so much that other popular 1st persons shooters don't have. While I wouldn't try to compare it to other greats, I will say it is in a league of its own, and has its place among the other great 1st person shooters. Its definitely a favorite of mine.
