Nah, quit runescape, play Tibia! It's great, fun, has a lot of fansites, a lot of features, and nice gameplay .

Nooooooo tibia is awful! (imo). I played it a while and it was... just... awful... It looked like if it was 20 years old.

Anachy Online Classic is now free, its about 4 years old but it is still an awsome game. you can download it off of their website, well it provides links to where you can get it from atleast.

@Vagodeoz -> do me a favor and read this article. It tells you exactly why Tibia is looking the way it is. It's not awful, it's their style. And if you've played longer than 2 weeks u should have seen frequent graphical updates.

For anyone who is interested in Tibia (or just bored atm) read that article! Same goes for every graphical enemy of Tibia! Read it! It will explain a lot.

Good MMO (not free though) is Final Fantasy XI. If you want a challenging game, where things are not handed to you (gil, exp, etc.), and is centered around the party atmosphere, you'd have to go with FFXI

I play Toloren, Dark Throne, Gunbound, Maplestory, and sometimes Runescape.

I also play a few others but you have to purchase it.
These Include Starcraft and Starcraft:Brood War.
I think I played Final Fantasy XI once too.

Unfortunately, MapleStory is in beta testing at the moment. Due to a few hackers (and half a million script kiddies), signups for the game have closed for the moment. However, MapleStory is a very fun game. The player chooses a job class after familiarising himself or herself with the game, and then does many RPG-ish things to prepare. These typically include buying or making weapons, buying ammunition (for archers and thieves), and perhaps finding a party to join.

However, one of the most unique features of MapleStory--the one feature that will make you love or hate MS--is that the world is two-dimensional. All battles occur on a single plane. MapleStory smacks of some old platforming classic, yet its battles are thoroughly exciting and new in their process. Many learned skills will have to be applied at key moments in a battle, especially against a fierce, strong enemy.

Having said all this, I do not recommend MapleStory. I am slightly too addicted to the game, as are all my friends. Save yourself while you can =P

How many posts are there with this topic? Want a good mmo well you can go to anarcy, runescape, mu, Faryland (actually my favorite has a little twist to it like pokemon twist so its pretty fun),T4C (The Fourth Coming, free on every day but weekends it gets kind of populated and takes time to play) you can easily find private FREE servers and its not illeagle to have the private servers but anyway you can find servers for WoW, Lineage 2, Lineage 1, Motor city online, Ragnarok, and bouth of the Eq (and more alot more like AoE and AO but theres soo many) theres animalland or animalforest- somthing like that- and theres soo soo many more free ones, i could list them off for hours.

I played that game for a while, the problem with it is its too boring, you do the exact same tasks over and over waiting to be powerful enough to actually participate in wars. Some of the enemies are horribly overpowered and the community is a big of a problem

some mages would take over whole hunting areas you go ready to kill some mobs only to have a lvl 50 mage come by and blow everything up in his way, then they swear at YOU for trying to killsteal.

So yea the game is fun for a once in a while thing but once you start playing other games with better communites you realize how bad knight online actually is.

It might not be free
But Asherons call is releasing a new update soon
when it does, I'd highly recomend anyone who has never played pick up a copy
the worlds really slowed down since WoW came into the picture, but this just leaves it open for new players to fill the ranks
great plot
amazing landscapes
lots and lots to explore
i used to run for hours and hours out into the wilderness, just finding new dungeons and monsters

Yeah i was looking up some games and i found all your messages and i checked out tibia and i personally dont like the graphics but you all helped me out cause i got bored CRAZY looking for good games to play online
