Poor Man Wifi

This poor's man WiFI thingy , is it safe ? Because 2.4 Ghz is the frequency used Microwave cooking.
So to transmit it in free space without focusing and guiding ( i.e waveguide) is not safe for the operator and other creatures like birds...etc.

Plz someone clariy this for me, and thank you very much.

Sorry, but I don't really understand your question.
This is also the frequency for most of mobile phones, are you afraid when you see somebody using a GSM telephone ?
And why do you name it "poor man WIFI" ? Do you think that rich people don't use wifi with their laptops ?
