I have been searching for free project hosting for some days. But most of free project hosting will not accept hosting immediately.
Is there some qualify free project hosting server that I can
apply to and start my project immediately? Appreciate for your help.
List (not meet with my need):
http://savannah.gnu.org/
http://www.sourceforge.net/
http://developer.berlios.de/
http://sunsite.dk/
http://www.mozdev.org/

Try the following sites:
1. http://www.ibiblio.o...host/exhost.htm
This gives you a comparative chart of features offered by all the free open source project hosting sites including the ones in your list. Pretty barebone page - but coverage is extensive.
2. The google directory for the same: http://directory.goo...Source/Hosting/
3. Unmaintained Free Software - another such host: http://www.unmaintai...e.org/links.php
Lemme know if it helps
Cheers

Hi there,
If you developing a project and the Programming language is Java then u can try
http://dev.java.net
Which already have lot of catagories of projects and just u submmit the request for hosting ur project, with needed details. After approval you are allowed to start your project.
Allmost all the options are available there including the CVS, Project Members maintainances, Owership, Opting for License......
Cheers

Hehe.. guys.. watch out for one more site to contend with... COMING TO YOU VERY SOON... and going to be a behemoth in no time...
AntiLost.Org/.Com - Your last stop opensource shop
The site is just at its gestation stage right now, but give it 2-3 months for teething and then we'll see who stands where

hi
sourceforge is the best but in some country it is too slow
(central asia for example)
maybe try the other ?
I think that sourceforge.net is pretty fast in asia. The speed is very cool. The problem maybe from your ISP. I'm asian
I think sourceforge.net is still the best one - The world's largest CVS.
Anyway, thanks for all you about the sites. They're good also.
