I would love to create a banner for astahost but I think I should leave this to the professionals lol. I'll still mess around with some things and if I make anything good I'll post it here. Are you looking for a logo type thing or just the word astahost with a cool design?

What made you guys deside to make astahost and trap17 look different? I understand they are different sites but really they are quite the same. I think I like this theme better than trap17s new theme anyway.

I think that the banner design could look like the .psd file Opaque gave just with a different text like "Astahost, free web hosting" or something like that.. (I think thats why he gave a link to it?) It's a pity I'm not to good with graphics

If I get the time I will have to see if I can put together a design or two. Getting ready for my Christmas trip will have to come first though.

Allow me to add a couple questions to my post for the sake of the design process. What does the Asta in Asta host mean? Who do you envision the target audience of the board to be? Do you want any wording aside from the the name AstaHost on the banner graphic?

These are normal considerations for a design endeavor.

The difference is the community for some reason asta attracts ;-) Its something.

I do not know what asta means.. but for me, it was something more like "light", "knowledge", "discipline" which I looked for when starting this board.

Who do you envision the target audience of the board to be?
Targetted members - People with Wisdom.
members looking only for hosting can join Qupis or Trap17. :P
The board is open to all for Reading :P

Not bad, but I could suggest using some better font to look it more attractive though.

Yeah if you find the font i can change the text in 2 seconds. I do not have a lot of fonts on this machine, as the only one i use is a fixed width one to program with.

I have lots of fonts, I've downloaded some years a go pack of 2000 fonts and burned them on CD, but I don't know how to share, Skype? or I think you also can find lots of true type fonts on the web by searching google?

For example: http://www.grsites.c...ory/1/?offset=0
