Hey all! I finally built my website, took me a few years to finally decide what website I was going for. I finally got it built!

Check it out here: http://www.kwokinator.com

Plus, the forums is Astahost member-friendly as the forums was modelled the Astahost board.

  • Interests:My interests are my hobbies, and ironically enough my hobbies are my interests. I'm quite interested in my hobbies, much more so then my interests... but I spend more time with my interests as my hobbies are often rude with me so I don't enjoy talking to them as much.

It took you years to decide to do computers, games, and tech? <_< haha just messing with you. I'm not going to register now because I dont feel like it as I just got to work, but the site looks nice. Clean layout, gentle colors. Physically it looks nice. Content I'll take a peek at later heh

lol... gee thanks Jeigh <_< (just jking) sure, go ahead.

@Sten, I wouldn't really call it a portal, it's more like a lightweight CMS when you look under the hood. You can create pages, customize where everything goes. However, it does centre everything to the forums. Also, the beauty of Quicksilver Forums is its object-oriented programming functions and its modlet feature. Thereby, automatically remove the need to modify system files to have a mod or addon run.

My website is still changing with almost a new feature or change everyday, so what I posted on Sunday was significantly different to what I have today, so check it out!

lol, true, then again Astahost has been here since 2005, so I guess it'll take a while.

I guess it's correct to call them portals. Doesn't matter, it's all symantecs.

Not bad! I love the name lol, Kwokinator. The only real thing is the top, maybe you could make a banner instead of the white space?

If you know how to make skins for Quicksilver Forums (and/or it's portal system), maybe. Plus, your website is down.

Alright, I just scrapped my old website all together and just made a new one. I used two systems (Movable Type and MyTopix) this time. However, the only downside I see using these 2 systems is that you have to register twice to use the system fully (sorry), unless of course you have a LiveJournal, Vox, or OpenID account, then you can use those to sign into the Movable Type system. I had to overhaul my forum system because I couldn't split the forum tables from the portal in the old system.

instead of using movable type and mytopix, theres always silver stripe (http://www.silverstripe.com) which is a cms and forum in one. people only need to sign up to the one and u can use that openID thing u were talking about (i only found out about openID today, lol.)

Thanks for the suggestion, but my time is growing really short now, so I have just decided to scrap that and just make a personal site/blog thingy.
