Yesterday I uploaded all the source files needed for the domain: www.MyFuturePicks.com but when I checked it this morning it won't load up. Was this my doing or is the hosting company at fault? I'm really upset that every time I upload things, things go wrong.
Can someone please check out the website and tell me if it loads or not. And if it doesn't load please post the solution I need in order to fix the problem. I urgently need this so I thank those who help me out. |

I think you have problems with DOMAIN Name Registrant, its not Hosting problem its problem with your domain try to connect with Support Staff and ask them why its not responding, becouse when i pinged it answer was Zero it means that this domain www.MyFuturePicks.com unreachbly for internet global users!!!
please tell me did you set any Name Servers?? or may be in your domain name account feature like Lock/Unlock Domain, may be you should see that!!! This post has been edited by Aka_Bar: Jan 9 2007, 06:07 PM |

Thanks for helping me out with that. I'll go tell my client about it. I don't really know if he did anything with the domain or not. But my question is, would the file transfer have caused it or not?
What I only did was add a directory to the root folder called temp_site I also dropped the database the site was currently using and created it again inserting tables I have from my local database. |

you see, your Domain not answering, it means that if you have on hosting any thing you are not able to reach it or you are not able to download it, becose in simple words when you answering your Internet Service Provider cant understand where is your files becouse he cannot see server!! and he thinks there is no DNS like that and may be there is no Server like that and my be your domain name deleted or locked!!! and when you asking some thing from any server you must reach it and after only will be startet exchanges between Your PC and SERVER that you are asking at moment!!
you are welcome if u didnt catchme i can help you more!! You can easly check your domain name for asking like that: Enter to Start> Run> and put there word CMD and next type like that ping www.myfuturepicks.com or ping myfuturepicks.com At moment it answering like Wrong or Bad request, or there is no network like that This post has been edited by Aka_Bar: Jan 9 2007, 06:39 PM |

Oh so maybe my client is hosting his website on his local machine and have it turned off. Could that be a possible problem?

No no, Domain name registering not One machine its Colletion of Servers and Data bases!!
please understand diffrence between hosting and domain name Domain name like your street adress where you live, u can easly find by adress, on the internet Domain name plays role like that, it is only Adress of your hosting and Hositng like your flat or where you live, where you should upload your data and safe them for became site!!! at your situation just Domain name not answering, like if you dont have adress and you cant find you place inneed!!! Ok nevermind, it's not back on for some reason. I just waited. The client is not responding so I don't know if he did something.
