I have problen whit my Scanner the system detect this of hp scanjet all-in-one but this don't are scanjet this are PSC 1210, and I don't know how he does that. I browsing in google.com/linux for the driver and to in Hp.com but don't exist this drivers. You know where I download this drivers.

Linux Doesnt give a Crap about the company that sold you your scanner... its just a name... all thats important is the electronics inside the scanner (identified by the usb devices ID#)
you might find that your scanners insides are exactly the same as the other scanners insides, so the same drivers will work for each scanner. anyways.... you need to install sane-frontends, sane-backends and xsane (xsane is optional, but i like it better than kooka which is KDE's scanning tool) make sure your scanner is in the compatability list at http://www.sane-project.org/ then you will need to download the firmware driver and copy it to the correct location (wich will be given why you try to start xsane) also make sure your /proc/bus/usb files are readable and writeable by the user wishing to scan. |

In this pege only apear scanjet and photosmart but my psc dont apear. But I entry in http://hpoj.sf.net and in this page apear psc 1200 series but the drivers are only for windows and mac no for linux.
If you have more information please give me. because in deen this scaner. |
