I have been trying to get a border for my signature/avatar so that it won't really "blend" in to the background. First of all, how do you make a border?

Do you have Photoshop? If you do, you can draw a border on using the brush tool. If you don't have Photoshop but have MS Paint, you can use the box tool and make a really crappy and plain border. It depends on what kind of border you want.
