Author: mel Total-Replies: 2 Hello. I'm mel. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, and just graduated a few weeks ago with my BS in IT. I've already been lucky enough to get two positions in the field: First, I worked programming Palm devices to give questionnaires for clinical drug trials. After 7 months there, I got a position as an applications developer on a large inventory management system, working in the oxymoronic language of Object Oriented COBOL. =) No. Really. I'm serious. It exists. Nice to meet y'all.

Author: bridgebuilder Total-Replies: 2 [Attachment: #333]The universe, the world, on to the human mind itself depend on electricity for function. Viewing electricity as software to make hardware work we can delve into the world of toying with that software and then developing the hardware to house its function. Electricity is where it all begins. There is little a person can't do with the right connections, a guitar amplifier or two, a computer, an instrument, a VCR, a TV, and some helpful extension speakers for accoustics. The digital audio of a computer is output as anolog which works great for a guitar amplifier. The VCR plays a duel role as visual intertainment and to help balance the output to the amplifier/s. Everything is fed through the VCR to the amplifiers except instruments. Fortunitely, I had two amplifiers along with in which one was a duel, so we could plug in a couple of guitars and a mic. The second amplifier was solely to feed the extension speakers. Once they're all hooked up, a video, CD or anything on the computer or TV (a PS2 and DVD can also be added) can be played and sung along with. It can be a real party favor.

Author: zenia Total-Replies: 5 Recently the option was discussed to put servers in households. The air, that is used to cool the server, can be used to warm the house. This discussion makes the way the server centers are built interesting. When a person looks at a picture of servers it is visible, that the servers are built from a distance from eachother. One reason for the paths between the server racks can be the need to be able to control the server. For that reason it has to be possible that a human being can walk between the servers. Another reason to keep an open space between servers is the option to transport the servers. When a server breaks down it can be necessary to replace the server by another machine. And when the servers get updated it has to be possible to take the old servers away and to bring the new servers to the place of the old servers. Another reason why there is a lot of space between servers can be the necessity to cool the servers. A lot of free air flying around the servers make it possible to cool the servers with air. When these options are considered it can be interesting to think about the different reasons why server rooms are built the way they are designed. The demands servers ask in order to be able to work smoothly have to be taken in account when server stations are constructed.

Author: yordan Total-Replies: 4 Sorry, no way for a private person to increase the signal. A phone company has to put an antenna closer to your home, the current antenna is to far away. Maybe you should look the people living around you, if they have a smarphone and if they are satisfied, ask them which company provide their phone and switch to that one.

Author: veerumits Total-Replies: 7 Where there is fault in my calculation, Now start, There are three person A, B and C. each one have $20, i mean A have $20, B have $20, C have $20. They Contribute and equal to A+B+C=20+20+20; i mean total $60, when they reach a shop a shop's servant meet and buy a Gift worth Rs. $60, by the shop's servant, when the shopkeeper come on the shop and ask the question to the servant how much cost you sell that gift, servant says $60. Shopkeeper told her but Actual cost is Worth Rs. $50, why are you sell with $60 cost, Please go to return her $10, Servant goes to the buyer house and in between the way he spend $4 in taxi fair so he only return $6 to the buyers, They A,B and C are Divide $6 in three part and take it. i mean less $2 what they pay $20. so each one pay Now $20-$2=$18, When the servant come to the shop, he gives the solution of the Total Cost of Gift $18+$18+$18=$54(actual Cost) He also spend $4 So he add $54+$4=$58 then shopkeeper told to servant where $2 goes. if we add $54+$6=$60 then where we say that servant spend $4, there is no clue about servant fair. either they pay $56 +$4 and if They pay $56 then how this can possible. actually they pay only $54 by the calculation this is clear. any way try to find out the actual calculation of this funny joke. thanks

Author: JimBeam Total-Replies: 25 I personally prefer AMD. I bought my AMD Athlon64 3000+ mid last year and I love it. It wasn't too expensive back then, so I'd imagine you could get something a lot better for a decent price now. It's up to you though, and I guess it may depend on what you're going to use your computer for. I recently started a poll asking the question "AMD or Intel?"... it has quite a few replies with peoples opinions on the 2 CPU's, so for a better idea of what these people would suggest, have a loot at that thread. It's called "AMD or P4?".

Author: jwcgator Total-Replies: 3 Every time you go to the grocery store, you offer the cashier one cent more for each item in the cart of the person in front of you. To cut costs, FedEx and UPS are considering relocating their operations centers to your house. Sitting on the floor of your empty apartment, you stare at your fingers and wonder whether they'll sell better individually or as a matched set. Your spouse is loving and caring but you decided to file for divorce because you need the storage space. You're the reason they adopted the "No selling your children's vital organs" policy. ou find yourself searching eBay auctions for milk, eggs and bread. When your wife agrees to have sex with you, you become suspicious and ask how many other bidders there were. Just ask your kids, eRay and eFaye. After a particularly passionate night, you lean over and whisper in your spouse’s ear, "Excellent service, great communication! Would recommend again! AAAA++++" You set your alarm clock for 3 am so you can log on to protect your bid. You've called someone a naughty name for outbidding you at the last second. You've questioned your sanity because of the price you've bid... more than once. You've changed all your clocks to "eBay official time (PDT)." You've bid on something even though the picture doesn't show up correctly. You've purposely run up the bid on something similar for which you paid more. You've rolled your eyes at the word "antique" or "vintage" used on something made in the past decade. You've gritted your teeth each time you've clicked on a description that uses the word "L@@K." You've turned up the volume on your email alert so you'll never miss an Outbid Notice. You've made "My eBay" your default home page. You've emailed a seller to correct their description with accurate dates or details. You've come to rely on "convenience cash" from PayPal and wish you could pay all your bills like that. You've earned a "Shooting Star" Feedback Profile for more than 10,000 purchases! You won't go to estate auctions because they don't take PayPal. You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends who are addicted to Ebay.

Author: rantsh Total-Replies: 10 Does anybody know a GOOD disk defragmenter for windows? I need a good house/small office solution (and by that I mean in the Free/cheap area). Does anyone know any??? Well to be honest if you don't know any free/cheap at least a good one, even if it's a little pricey since I have some sensitive data on my PC that I can't afford to lose. And the windows one is so... useless... I mean does anyone remember when in the old days you ran defrag from the DOS command line and all the little squares ACTUALLY got together, now on windows, for reasons that I can't imagine there's always this HUGE gap in the midle of the data... My personal opinion, you defrag with it and everything is basically the same... I can't see any (and I mean ANY) improvement on the performance, not with the disk full, half empty or almost empty, you defrag and it's like wasting an hour of your life. Either way I used to use Norton's (I think the last time I used it was on 2002), I've thinking on going back to symantec (your that aspect not for NAV) but as I'm already here I thought "What the hell... let me ask" So either way, thanks for any suggestion that you may have...

I present to you our very own in-house FREE image and Video host ... *Drum Roll* ImageFilez ! There are many free Image & Video Host's available out there, and i dont disagree on the fact that some of them are good. But for me personally having a image host is kinda gooooooood ! ImageFilez allows the following file type extensions : .jpg .zip .tif .bmp .jpeg .gif .png .swf .tiff .avi .wmv .mpg .mpeg Max File Size upload would be : 5.00 MB(5242880 Byte) And you have a choice of 3 Upload types : Applet Upload, Common Upload, URL Upload. You also have an option to register and create a Gallery Its FAST, RELIABLE and best of all rumours are, it will be integrated with asta's file upload in future So hop on to >> ImageFilez << and host your images & Videos .. so you could share them with us here Regards Dhanesh.

Author: Sarah81 Total-Replies: 14 Let's see ... going by systems that have been in my house - they weren't necessarily ones that I personally bought, but someone in the immediately family coughed up money for them: *systems that my brother the video-game freak bought because he loves having old systems: -Atari 2600 (didn't work - no cables) -Turbo Grafx 16 (same story) -Sega Genesis (love that system - used to play it with my cousins all the time) *systems that we had, and actually got to use, because Mom and Dad paid for them: -NES (with the Four Score add-on so that four of us could play racing games against each other) -SNES -N64 (with the virtually-mandatory expansion pack so my sibs could play Zelda) -PlayStation -PlayStation 2 -GameCube (laser's messed up on it right now; otherwise I'd have major plans to go home and play it over Spring Break, hehe) -XBox Oh, and of course a desktop computer - the best gaming console ever if you ask me *grins* Right ... my sibs also have original Game Boys lying around somewhere, and Game Boy Color somewhere. And I used to have a Sega Game Gear, which was about fifty times cooler than GB because it had the color screen. Who cares if it sucked down AA batteries as fast as I could throw them in? *snickers*
