Does anybody know any free fps games that I can just download from the internet?
I know of two, America's Army, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
I played america's army, and the graphics are good but the game takes a while to load.
Wolfenstein has worse graphics, but its a quick, fun and strategic game. Plus, there are custom maps
If anybody has a link to download other fps games, please post it

Anyone play freeware games? I do sometimes and maybe no one else does. This might be a stupid topic but I was wondering if anyone knew of some good freeware games. There are alot of horrible free games out there and very few good ones. However, I have found a few good ones. Such as:

Eternal Daughter
Cave Story
Streambolt
Destruction Carnival
etc.

If you want to download these I could find you some download addresses but you could also easily find them at gamehippo.com or by searching for them in a search engine. Maybe I'm the only one in this forum who plays freeware games, maybe not. So maybe I've missed some games, if anyone knows of others please post some.

Hey guys check this out. CNET posted a story about 10 real PC games for download. This are all free and you can download them completely, I know many of you knew about 2 or 3 but there's more there. The thing that I liked is that people posted in comments about more games that are free like Gunbound or other open source ones. You must try some of these games, there are a lot to choose from so the only thing stopping you is the download.

Somebody modified the now open-source Doom Engine to create a brand new #D sonic game. It looks pretty good and aparently plays great to. I'm getting it as we speak, but it's a 49 MB download and I'm on 56K...

I've been hosting several dedicated servers on my own, so I went out on the hunt for a perfect free host that would support support "FastDL" servers, commonly associated with source-engine based games.

Nvidia is sponsoring a game tournament with Trackmania, so they actually paid for the game to be made and it is free to download! The game is LAN/Internet only so you can't really play offline (the tutorials you can I guess). It has over 90 tracks and even comes with a built in track editor.Can you really go wrong with this? Why aren't you downloading it now? Free online/lan Trackmania Nations Internet/Lan game for your PC, it has over 90 tracks (ok some are only 30 seconds long, but most of them are "normal length"). If you get bored of the massive amount of tracks in the game, just make your own with the free build in track editor:

I play runescape is there anyother F2P games like this if anyone knows post here I really would like to know. I also play text base like www.mechg.com and mechkiller.com, starsphere.net and idlepimps.com I like all these games and want to make one that is texted base with animation too. Do anyone have any ideas for me.

It seems that no matter how much I google it,, I cannot find a good free mmorpg for mac. Is it really that hard to port things to macs (really, is it? I know little of porting)? There's always runescape, but it's full of idiots that will call you a noob just for being a slightly lower level then them, and who wants that? There /was/ planeshift, but when they upgraded, it's like they forgot about the mac version or something. The forums on their site /says/ there's a mac version that runs now, but I can't get a hold of it, and the one in their downloads section is still the old one that doesn't work on their new servers. There is dofus, but really the only thing you can do on it is fight.
so my questions are these:

Does anyone know any good, free, mmorpgs for macs?
Does anyone know what's up with planeshift?

I all ways liked the game 18 Wheels of Steel. I guess i like driving lol, but i lost the CD so i was wondering if there is a free full version download of it? Its a great game. you drive all around the USE and take things from place to place and buy new trucks upgrade them and also it looks pretty real i would like it if it had more roads and place to go. it only shows main cities...I was wondering if it was possible to make a game like that your self for free does someone know if yes what software should i use for it??
