Anyone know where I can get or make a search engine to put on my site? I would love it if you could tell me how to make my search engine, but if you know how to put a search engine like Google on my site, that would be great too...

Well that is certainly a lot of Thank you.

There are two main types of search engines availble for your site. One searches your site for keyword/phrase results. This is known as the site search. The other kind searches the web for keyword/phrase results.

Search engines are often made using Perl/CGI. I would opt for going to a website like http://www.thefreecountry.com/perlscripts/...chengines.shtml o find pre-made scripts that you can customize.

For web searches, you're best of using the Google API and PHP to create your custom web search engine using Google.

Please realise that if you do not have any experience in Perl or you are not willing to learn, then it will be much harder for you to use or develop a custom Search Engine.

There is always the preset site search/web search services provided by Google.

You are right, twitch. Putting google at work, as google suggests, is the best way for a personnal site. A personnal site will never have the cpu power and the disk storage necessary for doing an effective search as google or it's competitors do.
