How to create a new Safe Boot menu in the boot menu in windows XP
1- open c:\boot.ini in Notepad 2- Copy current boot line to next line. 3- Change and edit the second line, for example: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional Safeboot" /fastdetect and save file 4-click Start > click Run > and type msconfig in dialog box to run “System Configuration Utility” 5- Click on the BOOT.INI tab and highlight the second line with the additional name of Safeboot. 6- Check the /SAFEBOOT box, and then select option you want Minimal - Minimal set of drivers Network - With Network Support Dsrepair - Directory Services Repair Minimal (Alternate Shell) - Standard Explorer Desktop 7- Restart your computer |

Just press F8 while the computer is starting. Most of us don't need safe mode frequently, right. It just make you PC boot a little slower. |
