Thus, two Japanese companies involved in the porn industry, h.m.p. and GLAY'z, announced that they are already preparing titles in UMD format, most likely to be released in July. The 8 titles, varying from Big-Breasted Nurse Amagoromo Mitsu, Kaneshiro Anna: The High Class Soap Mistress to Beatiful Body - Ero-Terrorist Noa are intended to be sold especially in Japan but are region 2 coded, so they will also be available for European viewers. The prices announced for these movies range between 18 and 32 dollars, but the movies will be partially censored and because they are region 2 coded, it looks like they won’t be available for PSP consoles sold in the United States. However, there are already some rumors the PSP user community regarding the fact that the UMD disks will most likely be region-free coded. Playboy has already announced the release of special erotic content for PSP consoles, so it looks like, while some are desperately trying to impose .XXX domains for adults’ sites, porn’s actually going mobile. i really hope this isn't true! Wow, thats a bit extreme. Mobile porn? PSP consoles, KIDS use those! It just makes it easier for kids to watch porn. Think about it, a 7 year old boy would rather watch porn on a mobile device so he could hide. He can't move the tv to hide it from his parents. And teenagers are eveen worse than kids. They're always trying to get a hold of porn. If they could watch it on a mobile decive it makes it that much easier. Porn is spreading way too far. Before you know you won't run acroos a single person who doesn't constantly watch porn. Workers on their breaks, will be able to watch porn. I thought that the tvs inside the cars were bad enough, but I'm not sure that I could even express how far porn could expand on mobile devices.

it will take a few years though to put porn on mobile devices because the only way that a mobile connects to the internet is through a GPRS connection (wap i think) and it is very slow! it would take ages to download a film, and even if you were to buy it on a memory stick or something (just imagine a venting machine that sold memory sticks with porn on it). The protection they would most likely have would be: "This film is rated 18... If you are under 18 click here to erase the disk or if you are over 18 click here to begin the movie" hmm.. which one would you click

I think this is something to be expected. The porn industry simply adapts itself to changing technologies and to exploit them to make even more money. It has happened to the PC, the Internet, mobile phones, PDA, and now gaming consoles. I wish there is a way to definitely filter off porn media from our devices and technologies.

Strange but true, there is a flip side to every concept of communication. There is what we consider good information and bad information that is communicated via all types of media. Weather its print, video or voice there are laws that allow the freedom to communicate.
It makes it difficult for the government to control bad communication because there is some lawyer who knows a loophole that will get it classified under general communication. Most laws are not defined enough to separate the issues it has to govern and the smart guys know that. Now the US on the other hand the “freedom of speech” amendment provides a clear path for a lawyer to walk and blow a whole legal battle out of court with his client being the winner. So the porn producer just has to put a label on the package in plain view that his product is for ADULTS ONLY. And he can mass produce his product and sell it to every body who wants to buy it. |

OK, so lemme imagine this. You're out at a fancy restaraunt with your girlfriend. You're kind of bored, so you excuse yourself and head for the bathroom, whip out your PSP and take a stall. Then, after being careful not to spill on your PSP and not to make noise as you nervously pleasure yourself in the bathroom, you leave back to your table, while all the other guys currently in the bathroom stare at you with that what-the-f***? look.
I just don't see the practicality of this. I mean, it's something you do in private, if at all. So, why should you take it public just because you have this mobile device? I don't know, just my opinion. |
