One of my users wants to transfer the data and so on from his phpBB2 to his PHP-Nuke CMS. I offered a link to Nuke Code that had 8 programs that deal with such matters. He replys that that is not really what he wants, to that the only response I could give was that since all he wanted to do was to export his phpbb_users table to his nuke_users table. To this reply he seemed to get the result he wanted but then stated that some of hid files as imported caused errors and I am sure this is the way he imported or perhaps the way he set up the export sql file

How should I give this user a good way to take users on a highly modified phpBB2 and send it to a PHP-Nuke without causing errors?

can you give me the database structure of both users table.. the users table from phpbb and the one from phpnuke

Ok, well if he wants to transer it theres not much he can do. You can try to link it to his website by editing one of the files in PHPNuke but then i don't know if you will be able to make it fit the page for phpnuke like other sites. If he has the files for the forums then just transer them using FlashFXP or some other file to transer those and replace all of the other PHPNuke forum files with those.

actually, he only wants the users list and accounts to be transferred to the newer board. the old board is a fully modified phpbb2 and the traget is a nuke board.

the only way to do that is to create a script that will do the transfer for him.. since exporting and importing data wont work due to differences of database structures for the user table..

that is the reason why I also asked the structure of the users table for both forum boards.. coz I may give him a full source code that will do the transfer for him or atleast give him a code snippet on how to do it..

and i guess, at the time of the orginators post, both boards already exist except the database transfer...

Well I basically told him to export with the qualifier to create if not exist so that the fields in his table if not present would create these fields and just have empty entries in them, which won't hurt anything but at least he will have his users data, I went to his site and he had a news article about a script that he was using to move his users over from the phpBB and I don't know if he ended up using a link to 8 BB to Nuke scripts that I pointed him to, but he told me in a PM that he was pretty much manually transferring them with export and import. I haven't recieved any further PM's so I guess he got things working the way he wanted, it is kinda hard to know though because he is a French Canadian and his English is not really that great...kinda have a small communication problem there.
