The scripts I have attached either allow the visitor to enter your site, if his browser is in the allowed list, or block him, if his browser is in the blocked list.

-----------------------------------------------------
Since this is a script, it should go into the scripting forum.. Moved.

There are quite a number of people on this forum who do not know PHP so it would maybe be wise to include a help file with that zip.....it is a good code though

If you do chose to make the help file make sure to say that if somebody already has a index file made they should just copy paste what si included inside the index's that come with the zip file to the include section (which is at the top of the php file) of the php file they want to browser protect...

I myself am not that well with php tongue.gif so thats why I suggest the help file...

Still it is a pretty good idea

thnx

Well if for some reason the site is designed so that it will just not function with certain browsers. Blocking the incompatible browsers makes sure that the site isn't even attempted to be parsed. Then of course a different version of the site can be loaded.

I know what you're saying, cuase it's happening with my site... i actually posted a new topic looking for help...

But making a diferent design per browser it's quite exhausting, don't u think?

There must be a way of designing an all browser compatible site... and a way to verify that...

I created this script because I couldn't bare some sites which needed Internet Explorer. In most cases, if you changed the browser's user agent code, you could see the site without errors.

These scripts where created to promote Internet Explorer. So with this script, I will try to promote Mozilla Firefox.

I get your point, i just don't think your users -or anybody elses for that matter- should suffer the conscecuences of Micro$oft lovers, you should promote Firefox from your site..

have u heard of racism????... clasicism???... maybe this is the new "Borwsersicism" of something like taht.. and it neves ends well....

just a comment...

I use firefox...
