hi,
AceFtp is the best i think. there is no need for using trial or unreg versions. it has free subscription upon which you can use it for free legally.

To my mind the bist FTP Client is FlashFxp, because its Smart, have a lot of functions and a good site-manager!! cu |

I like FTP Voyager, it has everything required in one program, it even allow moving files and folders within the server itself, just drag and drop it. It is also a SSH and Telnet.

I have used both of them .. But i will prefer you to use SmartFTP if you are new to this stuffs .. But if you are expert to this stuffs .. Then use CuteFTP Professional ..

I've Used cuteftp, WS_FTP pro, and Aceftp 3 and i really like both ws and ace, nost cuteftp so much. WS has always been slower for me than ace. But sometimes ace wont work (like if the server is really bogged down, and usually ws_ftp will. It will just be really slow.

Hmm.. Ftp Surfer is a pretty good program
 Simple!SmartFtp.. it's good.. ? I always got a virus from that one  Why I don't know.. :|BUT if you want the best ftp client, go for CuteFTP! I use CuteFTP Pro v.6! It's REALLY good and very nice XD I think it's the best ftp program.. Programs from Globalscape are always nice!

personally, I use AceFTP because...well, it's freeware and I don't have to worry about a trial or anything along those lines. It's effective at what it does, so I have no reason to complain ^_^
