Yup.. In the real Christian tradition, Christmas holiday starts at the Dec 25 and ends on the 1st Sunday of January since it is the celebration of the Three Wise Men(Formerly Called Three Kings but they were really not). I am half blooded Chinese, like most of us here also which is why most mixed up traditions and religion collide with the coming of the Chinese New Year(RAT), so it becomes more festive and a lot to spend on which is why Philippines is poor but always happy. hehehe.

And although the traditional christian idea of christmas is that we're celebrating the birth of Jesus, he was most likely born during Summer. Christmas is held at this time of year, because it co-incided with pagan mid-winter festivals, and other civilisations' celebrations. (Notice it's at the same time as Hannukah?). Our Christmas is a mixture of different things from all these different civilisations.
