I use AceFTP Pro and it's very useful application. The log screen is very detailed and I always know what happens with the commands I gave to the FTP server.

1. smartftp: free, good, and simple
2. command line: free, less simple, very good 3. www.net2ftp.com: if you can't install anything to your harddrive. you can zip your files and then upload them. it automaticly creates folders & subfolders & extracts the zip file! really cool and most of the time better than te ftpclient offered by the host. |

QUOTE(snowlion @ Sep 23 2004, 04:10 AM) yes..i also heard WS_FTP Pro is good..but whats so special? does this one have more features than other ftp client like smartftp? There is nothing really special, I like using it and i'm more comfortable on using it compared to other FTP clients. I didn't say anything that it was special, I just said that it was good. And about the features, it solely depends on the software itself, SmartFTP has some features that WS_FTP doesn't support and vice versa, it's all about how the user likes it, how it is intended for use(the features are a plus though). |

I prefer CuteFTP!
The functions are efficient and convenient~^^ But it is a paid software. For a free one, I also recommend FileZilla~ |

Im currently using SmartFTP's evaluation version. Its free for personal use. It has an Explorer like-interface which is fully customizable. It allows you to do drag-and-drop functions. You can view HTML pages within the client. SmartFTP suites all my needs for file transfers.

I'm using Core FTP Lite...It's nothing big, but it's free as Lite and it's got everything I need. I did have WS_FTP but the time ran out.:/
