I really like the idea of being able to shoot at targets but not at live game. I definately don't want to watch some poor animal die

That is a wonderful way to play game, and it will always be thrilling to shoot your game without actually lifting your finger and that means that you are virtual and doing the gaming from a distance. That is really wonderful and the same technique can also be used to fly microlift aircrafts through virtual console, great ideas.
