Wait right there. Just because the new site design is so good doesn't mean you should start using phpBB right away. It is best to wait until phpBB 3 is out, as it is supposed to be much more secure and versatile than the previous versions.

I suppose this new site might be an indication of what to expect in the latest version of the phpBB software. They are getting close to RC1 of their software (Release candidate one).
It will be interesting how this newer version compares to payed for forum software and even other free ones. Anyways it's a well done and well needed overhaul of their site. -HellFire |

It looks cooler but I liked the old version better. I don't use phpbb anymore though. It's by far the worst forum program availbe. Did you know phpbb.com had its support forum hacked. Now I don't want anything that could risk my users information on my site. Anyway I don't think it is better. It is harder to search for modifications and themes. I liked the old forum based search.
