Using Fedora 7, the /etc/rc.d/rc.local method is fine for me, because I need execution of 'amixer Mic,0 cap' to set my microphone to capture device, since every time my system boots it reverts back to capture from Line In.

please clarify my doubt
How To Start A Program On Startup With Options I have a perl script written and is saved at /root/script.Pl.I want to run the script at boot up. It is required to add the script to /etc/rc.Local. Should I copy paste entire script there or just the path? what are the steps to run the script at start up? Thank you in advance -reply by nichol |
