Instead of saying what we WANT or LIKE about an OS, lets go by things we dislike, it's easier to actually fix something that is happening with the OS than to actually dream up and implement new ideas into it. I'm sure we can provide ideas that they could work on.
For starters, I have always been annoyed with the way Windows copies (using explorer) a folder, and during it's copy it comes to a file that cannot be copied. Instead of leaving it till later or ignoring it and continuing with the rest of the files left to be copied, it stops where it got up to and the only thing you can possibly do is either figure out how to make it copy this file, whether it's protected somehow, being used by the system and is locked out or just cancelling it and then trying to copy the same folder and ignore that file, in which case you could again encounter another file that can't be copied. Another would be after you've done this type of copy and it's stopped due to a file, is a NO TO ALL button when you re-attempt to copy that folder over again, you've got a YES TO ALL to overwrite this file with this one, but not a NO TO ALL, this would be a time saver compared to holding the N key down so it repeatedly selects NO to not overwrite, or saying YES TO ALL so it overwrites the same copied files you just copied and have to redo thanks to the sudden roadblock MS put up. Another would be asked to replace a folder, and if you say NO, asked if you would want to copy the files/folders inside that folder you said no to, and insert them into the folder instead without replacing it, and this would be asked with same subfolders too, if the same ones existed. There's more, but if I do this, I'll give out too many ideas I've got planned for the future. Cheers, MC |

Well, I would say something like this:
10 print "goodbye microsoft" 20 goto 10 That would work for me. Especially if that's all it did. It would never crash, and I would be happy. But seriously, I like the graphical interface of the linux theme for windows xp, so that would be cool, but without all the crashing 24/7 I just want reliability and compatability in an os |

Ironic how you are using Basic; a language that was used by Bill Gates that helped him become the rich guy he is today
Oh, and by the way, that would really suck as an OS A feature of my Ideal OS would be one that would be able to play games without having my monitor blank out, forcing me to reboot. I need a new graphics card... |

It is a hard work to write a new os and the drivers together with it. But I think it is more difficult to devise a new os with enough feature usefull. If I have enough knowledge about os devising someday,I will select a specific and interesting new feature as my target to begin.
Just return to school then found that my credits expired ... Never mind,I will begin again. Long time no see ,friends |
