I just want to say that this is the best free webhosting service I had.

Great work, I must say. A little while ago I ran out hosting credits and my site was temporarily blocked. So I posted some posts, got some credits, and within the hour my site was back up! I'm awed at the wonderful job done here at Astahost and how nice the forums, hosting, and post credits work and are setup. Good job and keep up the good work Astahost.

I haven't got hosting yet, but for what I see in the list of features, it has more than many payed hosts...

I wasn't actually planning to move my site until maybe after April, but I was interested in this site so I just popped over to take a look. Two days later I've already fulfilled my 10 hosting credits and my initial fear that I would have nothing to contribute to the site has almost dissipated. I love the atmosphere in this message board, the lack of spam really helps, and I've picked so many tips already!

Only problem I forsee here is that I'm going to spend TOO much time here! *haha* And neglect school work or something... >_<

I have had a window open to thsi board for 7 hours... this place moves suprisingly slow and very little threads where I can add anythign significant or satisfactory >_<;;

[tab]I quite like the calm & quiet and the firendly atmosphere of this board. In a way if there are too many posts within a short span of time - it gets to difficult to weed out all the spam - besides I, for one, would feel quite lost among a huge number of posts. While this board is a bit slow - it's picking up real well. What we emphasize here is NOT THE QUANTITY BUT THE QUALITY of the posts - I don't think I need to elaborate much on that. Keep up the good work folks.

Well, it's that slow rate that's nice, that way you can actually overthink replies to topics, work on them so you can help out

When I first came here, I thought this would be a very challenging task - getting enough posts for the beginners package - After a few posts and thus credits I found that posting here was great fun, even without the need for hosting credits. Then I got approached by Nils to be a moderator of a few fora, I was soo nervous and scared to mess up. Because I realized there was a lot of responsibillity connected to a forum with this size. Soon thereafter the nervosity disappeared.

Then I applied for hosting, a little bit too eager though because I asked for the default (second) package. But OpaQue granted my wish and here I am. Soon after I got hosted in this wonderful world, I became a global moderator and that same fear of course struck again. I thought maintaining credits would be a challenge, but it's quite the oposite. Posting here is fun and extremely addictive. I often find myself checking the forum even before I check my mail in the morning.

As global mod, I got to know a few really knowledgable people, learned a lot of new things that can be applied to other venues as well Now I find myself wanting to learn more about webdesign JUST TO POST HERE! How's that for motivation to learn

And now about the service itself... The uptime here is better than my ISP's website (my ISP is one of the biggest in Belgium LOL) so that tells me something When I read what the package contained, I was stunned. I didn't even know what cPanel, Fantastico and some other things were!!! I had given up hope to find a DECENT free host, but here... all my wishes got fulfilled. I mean, some of these features don't even appear on a paid host's features. The list just kept on going, at this point there are features I haven't even checked out. LOL And now the BW got upped to 5GB for the second package.... It's just unbelievable... I tell most of my friends (of whom I know they could do good here - the other less techie I refer to trap17 or the paid host )

What also deserves a huge HOORAH is the speed of this service. I mean, you apply and within 24 hrs (usually even less) you are or approved or denied. Even if I had gotten denied, I would have stayed active on the forum, it's just too much fun LOL. I even gave up a game that I had been playing for 8 months to have more time for astahost.
