Wow only just noticed this thread, Iv'e been gone for awhile though. It's a good idea but I don't like MySpace and *friends lol* very much.

Oh be carefull too with MySpace, I don't know about other people but quite a few larger MySpace profiles and such seem to crash every single browser I have tried.

ive been using myspace for a while now and id be glad to join. Kinda sad to see astahost thinkin of this so late in the game. I think we could have gotten way more people to join had we thought of this 6 months ago when myspace was the rage (or should i say it was more of a fad).

I haven't come across any forum communities doing this before so it's new to me. A nice idea though.

Didn't realise so many people still used MySpace....

i am still aiming for orkut since myspace is giving me headaches and i have tried that for only a couple of hours..

google failed just twice before and that is on server maintenance that i was not aware of.. anyway it is free and in beta stage so it can be forgiven.. plus it is non commercial..

Is it like MySpace pretty much? My misses would probably be interested in it seen as she uses MySpace some other similar sites.

Does this mean you have to have a Gmail account. I'm having all sorts of trouble with mine. They keep telling me I have the wrong username/password even though I know its right. I sent them a report about it and they sent me a email back saying they know about the problem and they are working on it.

But sounds cool. If it doesn't involve Gmail, I'd love to be a part of it. Another place to be a part of the Astahost community? Count me in!

google is making a new effort to centralize everything into your gmail account
and perhaps the reason behind all of this is that orkut is now expecting a google login to come with your orkut.

Gmail seems to be buggered right now, half the time it won't let me specify a username, it keeps auto entering the same one and not showing an input field to enter another.

Also earlier today no matter what account you tryed to sign into, it always signed into the same one..... I think it may be a cookie issues.

Anyway yeah if anyone wants one I can do invites, I have like 91 left, Don't think I'll need them all. Just send an a private message to me with you email address requesting an invite.

I will hope to get the orkut invite soon and join it, but I have problems with myspace, I can't even register, even though I tried a lot of times, I really think I filled the form very well, but it gives me an error message, maybe they have a stupid image verification or something, is it case sensitive or not? tried both ways, myspace sucks, it even does not say what is bad with my registration form, just says error blah blah
