Yes, but I used in Windows XP (MCE05) and it was blue by default. Since I have a Royale Noir theme, I wanted black. So I looked in setting and here it was! xxxx-jozh-xxxx |

When i first installed my copy it did default to blue (running windows xp here), after a look in the settings i could change it - guess it would default to black on vista to fit in with the whole theme of the os.

I've never used the final version of Office 2007 (I only tried the Beta). So it has a black "ribbon" option? I never knew that. My friends all use the blue "ribbon".

Little off topic, but is 2007 any good?
Is it ok for XP Home SP2? I am running 2003, and been looking for some nice resume templates and things, but given up, the only half arsed decent ones I can find on Microsoft site are for 2007 only |

I currently run Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise Edition, and I think that it's pretty cool. I run it on Windows XP though, and the interface is blue, matching my theme on XP. I'm also curious about how to get to the black theme using Office on Xp.
The new edition of office makes it alot more convenient to get to certain settings, but if you're accustomed to the features on office 2003 or office xp, then it will take a bit of time to get used to. It was hard at first to get a powerpoint going, because alot of the normal options you would find on the 'traditional' style toolbar in XP were replaced with broader categories. But once I got used to it, I actually preferred this version to the 2003 version. There are quite a few more formatting options, due to the ability to use CSS styles when creating documents. I can't wait to see if there is going to be any new versions for Mac in the future. Office 2004 on Mac is pretty good too. |
