I have an older motherboard, and before I upgrade to a new pc, I would like to replace my old video card. I want something that will be able to handle (to some extent) some of the newer video games - Doom 3, etc. I am impartial to the brand, but I would like to stay with ATI or NVIDIA. I had a GeForce 4 4800SE, and I am definately looking to upgrade from that.
My budget is $100 - 150. I have looked into the geforce 6800 gs I believe, which competes with the gt with about a -$200 price deduction on it. I don't want the best available. I just want something that will maintain steady framrates through most of the games out today. Any advice or past experiences are welcome. |

certainly you can go for the 6800 GS, and I highly recommend it since it's better than the Radeon 9800XT.
Plus, it costs around $90 something (USD) or $100 (CAD) if you know where to look. xboxrulz |
