I can't understand your post completely. From what I can understand you are trying to connect to a MySQL database located on AstaHost via another website? First I would like to say that you can use HTML, PHP, Java est. with AstaHost's sites and simply move your site here (if it is small it shouldn't be a problem). But if that is to much work then you could connect to AstaHost's database by going the the CPanel and allowing remote access.

If you want to connect to your personal MySQL server and put it on AstaHost then you will need to configure your MySQL setup file. There should be a lot of tutorials on how to allow remote access to your MySQL server. This however is not recommended because AstaHost's Databases are much more secure then most personal servers.

Good Luck,
Sparkx

I presume you are talking about linking the Astahost's MySQL server to your own website, which is possible as long as you know the IP address of the MySQL (with the credentials for your MySQL database). You just have to code your website to connect to Astahost's MySQL server and retrieve the data from your MySQL database.
