I doubt there is an msn plugin to do this, but there is software such as xfire ( http://www.xfire.com ) that allows you to keep buddy lists and see which games they are playing at any given time, and what servers they are on if playing online. Further it often has a "join now" command to simply hop straight from xfire into the game and server they are playing at a moments notice. Xfire is great too as it allows chatting with people who are already playing games without them having to completely alt-tab out or anything like that.

Also adding onto the xfire stuff, you can get a little nifty application you can use to integrate your msn contacts in xfire so in effect it allows you to chat on msn ingame.
I seriously suggest you grab xfire, it has become the new msn for me and has been for quite a while. Xfire plus website: http://xfireplus.com Xfire plus msn integration download: http://xfireplus.com/download.php?list.10 Enjoy -HellFire |

If your friends are using cs:s they will have to be using steam, which has a built in friends and chat system. You can also view which games friends are in - and join the game if you want to!
I would also suggest XFire as the others have - great program! Good Luck -jimmy |

The only thing I can recommend is the Steam built-in messenger. Xfire isn't an option because it is known to cause massive FPS drops and errors. I stopped using it long ago.
