I have been having a lot of problems today connecting to the mail server and was wondering if there are any ongoing problems.

Thanks,

Gin

No, it's all working fine for me, at the moment. When in doubt whether the server is down, you might want to check out this link: http://www.xisto.com/helpdesk/index.php?cmd=status. It gives you information on the main services (HTTP, MySQL, POP3 etc.). Be noted that all Astahost members are on the gamma server.

I get a timeout error trying to connect to that site.

42 minutes after your post:

Gamma is all green. Good to go. No timeout when I tried.

As far as I know, all email systems have been working properly. How do you get to your email? By an email client like Thunderbird or Outlook or through webmail?

If you access through a email client, sometimes your ISP's DNS isn't resolving correctly or some settings may have been changed.
