Unfortunately I was also raised using windows and now I have used it for so long don't think changing to linux is really worth the truble. Anyway I use:
1. OS: Microsoft Windows XP (SP2) 2. Web Server: Astahost's Apache web server 3. Database: I am currently experimenting with MySQL database 4. Dynamic Page Language: usually PHP 5. Page Designer: Macromedia Dreamweaver (If it's just something quick and simple i'll use notepad) 6. Graphic Designer: I really need to find a good one of these! |

darren, if you are looking for a good cheap gaphics design program(assuming you are buying this not downloading it), then go get a copy of photoshop elements. Even better, go buy a wacom graphire 3 tablet 4x5(will make your life MUCH easier). It costs a bit more than elements but it (I believe, check before buying) comes with a copy in the box. If it does that is a perfect buy.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is very well for the beginner, but it will never generate a as good code, as a person!!!
I started with dreamweaver, but now I prefer to simply use an editor who manages syntactic colouring (I use "Eclipse"). |

As for getting up early I hadn't gone to bed yet. I'm on school holidays now and am making the most of it by sleeping all day and going on the net all night |
