This is a poll... biggrin.gif

actually its the war of the poll.

if you're polling, i want to know what is the greatest thing that makes this os different than any other else.

as for me i prefer slax!

oh, this Live Windows XP is just new to me.
Before i created this poll i found this hands-on, which is pretty neat.
I hope there is also a live windows vista(i think there is now, but still hands-on.) smile.gif smile.gif

My vote would have to goto Knoppix, I use the full DVD version and I have customised it myself with a few packages I use a lot on Linux which are not in the default build.

SLAX for me. I don't use alot of Live CD. Just a few of them. Normally would use those full DVD version like SUSE and Fedora and customize to what I need. Anyway why do I prefer SLAX is the GUI and packages comes with it. It contain most of what I need. So little customization. wink.gif

I don't know all of them (that's why I'm not voting in the poll), but I'd go for knoppix. I have the cd version and it's fast and has almost every tool you could need.
For more general use (when you have to use linux from time to time but don't want to install it) I'd say Slax, because you can easily add and remove applications you might need.

The live windows xp is a good live cd too, it's great for recovering lost windows apps, too bad it's a bit on the slow side sad.gif .
