Back in Windows XP if you were not on a domain CTRL + ALT +DEL would open up Task Manager. In Windows Vista that key combination opens the secure desktop that allows you to do many more thing. To directly to Task Manager, hit CTRL + ALT + ESC.

Doesn't work here, it only switches focus between several windows, probably because I'm not using the taskmanger but ProcessExplorerNT. It's provides a lot more information + it resides in the system tray, so I can have at a single click

I think he meant CTRL+SHIFT+ESC, that's the shortcut to do it on at least from Windows XP and onwards.

Keyboard Shortcut To Open Task Manager Directly Some one deleted my calculator from my pc. I have Microsoft keybord for my pc and when I press shortcut key for Calculator on my keybord it was saying " no calculator". How to refix it?. -reply by sundarlal |
