Does anybody know how to remotely change the IRQ number for peripheral devices?
I found that IRQ number can be changed and reserved in BIOS. The problem is that after rebooting the remote computer there is an IRQ conflict btw network cards and other devices so the local network is not accessible and there is a need to reserve IRQ numbers for the adapter. |

For PCI cards the answer is: just edit the device's configuration file and remove kernel module from memory and put back again. Or restart computer. For ISA based devices there might be jumpers which define IRQ settings and you don't have chance to change it remotly - i think. Maybe you can somehow disable the device.
