Read the manual that came with your download or open a support ticket at your customer center and they will install it for you, for FREE.

It is very simple, in your archive you downloaded you'll notice an upload folder. You need to upload everything inside that folder to your forums folder on your webhost.
Now you first need to set the permissions on the files and folders (chmod) You need to check your manual for this as it can change with each version. The manual is in the documentation folder. If you miss one or are unsure don't worry because the installer will tell you what you have missed. Now the installer is located in the install/index.php directory, you need to run this from your browser navigate to the site. Follow the instructions and wait while it automatically installs. You can come back in 5 minutes to find fresh new forums set up, next login to your ftp and remove the install/index.php file for safety reasons. Navigate to your new forum directory on your site and login. Click the Admin CP link and re authenticate yourself. The best way to set up your board first is to click on the settings tab and view every category changing what you need to. You can add/remove/change forums from the management tab. You can find addons/skins/images and more at: www.invisionize.com great site for anything you are trying to find to add to your installation. Hope it helps! -HellFire |

most forums that you can download from websites have a 'read me' file in them that should take you step by step through the installation process! Im pretty sure IPB will come with a 'install help' file. Or, if your are using a host that has fantastico install, use that to install it for you - no manual installing and you don't have to download it then upload it to your host!
