Encorporating many different languages seems to work the best. For instance, having flash banner and nav bar seems to be nice, then having the rest of the page in html, java, or php. These always turn out to be the nicest.
PHP, it's uhhh, how do I say this... Expendable and Flexible. Flash really is good for design but when it comes to coding, I don't know, moving images have code?!?! Yes, maybe, but that's really complicated. HTML is good too but the scope of coding is really limited.
euhm, even when you use php, you use html. even when you use flash, you use html. there is no way around html. you don't have much of a choice to use it...
for scripting, i like php, because it's fast and easy. for bigger companies, i'd go for jsp.
i say it depends on what your website is about. and how you want it to look, be like, and act like. i seem too agree with the polls as php is widely used on the internet. i only know html at the moment and willing to learn php in the future. also im begining to learn javascript in my computer science course that im taking.
well in webdesign you mainly use the basisis of html for coding websites. popbably the best language for all browsers.
Sorry to say that , it is the meaningless question . In a web site , it may contain different type of computer languages , html is the basic , and then dhtml, php, cgi.... . Which language have their own function . For example you can't do that php instead of flash , flash provide animation and sound effect ...
I think we can't say which is the best language , anyway , I am prefer using php . I am not saying it is the best , but it is easy for me to set up a forum .
lol, well, i'd say php, html, and maybe a little jsp. At least, this is what I use on my sites. Of course, as it was mentioned earlier...there is no "best language" because it depends on the site and the overall goal the webmaster has for his/her site. And most of the time a webdesigner impliments more then one type of web coding into their site ^_^
