i have been wondering
would the networking work with the virtual box
as i m not able to get internet on my ubuntu why not let run ubuntu on a virtual box in windows xp
would that work
as i m using a usb netconnect modem i m not able to use the internet on ubuntu

May be, I think. Even in virtualbox, you have to configure ubuntu. But on Windows your internet is connected. So you can try that.

It's worth try it. It only needs the virtualbox virtual network adapter to be included in your ubuntu distro.

Wouldn't be a problem, I've already used several operating systems in Virtualbox, both on a windows and a linux host and none of them gave a problem with the adapters provided with Virtualbox (there are 5 different network adapters you can choose from, there's always at least one that works by default as it's drivers are included in the guest operating system by default).
