I am having some problems connecting to Astahost via FTP. I am using SmartFTP. Each time I attempt to log in, I get an error:

Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...

After 30 seconds, it retries and still cannot connect. I am able to log into the webspace I have on my friend's server.

the host/address "ftp.astahost.com" is not the right thing to have.
You must use"ftp.yoursubdomain.astahost.com"

Redsox58 is correct, or you can use:

QUOTE

THE FOLLOWING ARE VALID FTP ADDRESS which you can use to access FTP :-

1> 69.50.168.69
2> ftp.ABC.astahost.com [ where ABC is your subdomain ]
3> ftp.YOUDOMAIN.com [ If you have registered your DOMAIN with Us ]

NOTE : THE FTP PASSWORD AND CPANEL PASSWORD ARE SAME!!!
