I didn;t know Notice was for only moderators/admins?
if so we need to make it so no one can use it unless they are in a certain group.
i.e. moderators, admins, etc.

That would probably be possible, let me talk to m^e about that. It depends on IPB variables, I haven't looked at custom BBCodes in a while.

Is it just me that is getting the impression there are loads of bugs in IPB? There was an issue with perms for my group (ask moon), the [ note=] things are available to people that shouldn't have them, the credits thing (although in beta stage and not IPB's fault primarily), when you delete permanently, it screws up credits.

the notice is custome BBCode so by default it is allowed by everyone

not sure if you can set it specifically for mods or above.

permission of your group might have been a missed check box when setting it up, also your in training so not all functions are available to you.

The credits system, that is not an IPB Bug, OPaQue wrote that himself. And it's just a simple rule about the not deleting, most mods are allowed to, but there are certain ways of doing it without messing up the credits system. The reason is simple, sometimes members make a really good post worth good credits in a crap topic, and then you go deleting it and they lost about double those credits. So that is why there's a no deletion of topic rule unles you know how to do it the right way. (and no, I am not saying you can delete that stuff.)
