Linux community has a Linux counter which keeps track for Linux usuage all over the world. This counter is counting for since years and is still counting.
All of you Linux users, should register that at http://counter.li.org/
It's run by a nonprofit membership organization called the Linux Counter Project.
And BTW, I'm not affiliated with them. I just happen to be a Linux user for over 6 years.

It's a good way to promote Linux but I think the better way would be to actually contribute to the community in some way or encourage others to use Linux as far as possible.Link: view Post: 148586
Yes indeed..! On my own simple way, I'm just giving my officemates free copy (on Disc) and let them use my box first...

That's a good idea. It's a cool feature of most Linux distributions that the users can try it out without installing it at all. Their hard disk can be safe and yet they can manage to try out all the features of the distro and when they're satisfied, they can install it and enjoy the complete experience.
Thanks bro...
I'm just doing it because I simply love Linux (Ubuntu and LinuxMint).
I used it so I also want to share it with someone.
