The Warning thing we have right now is good, but I think it should be kinda like the reputation thing, where you can see which post (or profile) the reputation point was made from. This would let us not make redundant warnings on the same thing, or show that a post has not been warned. The way it is now only shows the time, but if someone made multiple bad posts with the similar reason to be warned, we don't know which one was warned. If this additional information cannot be added, I think we should then comment on which post the warning was made on.

I think that is a great idea, szupie. It would improve the moderation of the forum, and would probably make it easier on the mods.

I agree, I think we talked using PM's about this (berfore we got the Staff board) if you warn a member edit the post you are warning. put a note in that you warned and check the box that say edited by.

Don't be afraid of showing that you, edited / warned them. send the PM that they got warned and the reason why. If they come back and give you negative rep, that's no problem It just show they can't take correction and are not suited to be members here. I'll remove the negative reputation point and put them in the banned group. They stay there until they stay away for awhile and then I delete them.

If you ever get PM's that are abusive or treatening just post the PM here or forward it to me. they will be dealt with.

If a user is warned and continue to spam after the first warning (look at the time of the warning) then warn again and remove the posting rights and we can deal with them at our leasure.

Well, we could simply add the topic link into the reason for warning box when we fill in the reason.
This would be less embaracing for the offending member than editing his original post.

just an idea.

[EDIT]

Check out my new warning level
[topic] tag won't work but
vujsa rel="nofollow"> tag will work.

vujsa, where did you add the warning? I'm trying to see what post you warned yourself in?

If you check my warning page, the second warning has a link back to this forum.
OpaQue reduced my warning level but clicking on the 0% will still work.

I added the link manually.

OK, I was in another world here..... looking for the post :) my bad.

Look at the warnings here http://www.astahost.com/2PacFan-m2911.html the last warning is linked to the message I warned. every message have a message number in the right corner, if you click that number you can copy the message link and paste it in the warning box.

He's account will never be restored, I'm deleting it this week sometime. I'm just using it for a demo so everyone can see how it works.

If you need to try someting let me know and I'll make a couple of posts with the testuser account and you can moderate and slap that account around... :)

So does that mean that 2PacFan is gone but someone (you) is playing with the account for demo purposes? Cuz 2PacFan gave me an **** u in another -1 reputation LOL

I don't know how he did that... I had turned off his ability to give reputation points. I'm going to let OpaQue look at that MOD to see why it's not working (or didn't work in that case)

I removed the negative pint, as I said don't worry it's not sticks and stones only words...

Sticks and stones can only break my bones... but my spirit will never be broken eh? (isn't that some expression or something?) I know it's only words.. and that particular phraze doesn't upset me or anything LOL It makes me chuckle :D Thanks for removing that point :D

The phrase moonwitch, is: "Sticks and tones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." But it's weird that he was able to do that. So what happens when warn reaches 100%?

They tend to get their *uhm* kicked from here to eternity by Nils :P They get banned I think, and may very well lose their chances on ever getting hosted, or lose hosting.

And thanks for the phraze there :P Meh, it's like so many things, I know a little, but not exact :o
