most of the things i do come from roleplays and fanfics me and my friends make
I do have a game almost fully designed though, wrote it down and all. Pretty neat and nice.

And if you wonder why is it called Singidunum, here's why. The capital of the country we live (Serbia & Montenegro) is called Belgrade. In the past, when the Roman Empire was enormous (BC period), Belgrade was called Singidunum

For starters - why don't you at least look into C++ and SDL - the Simple DirectMedia Layer... From there you could learn OpenGL, and perhaps DirectX for Microsoft proprietary formats... etc... But I would steer clear of progs such as "RPG Maker" and such forth...
