Djeezes, I wouldn't work with that even if they would pay me for it. I have it that I don't get a button response on a mouse, and the squezing is just bizar.
Long live the 3 buttoned optical logitech mouse I now use for 2 years or so.

lol alright .. u love the 3 button mouse u have .. but sheesh man .. Mac users like me ( i do games and college stuff on a Pc .. lol ) really would need a change in buttons ..

Operating applications like web browsers and graphic applications on a pc is quiet fast .. i mean the scroll and stuff .. but for a mac .. we really have to stick to 1 button .. lol and thats awful .. hopefully this mouse would make working on photoshop n illustrator much faster .. :D

I really do like this mouse...I thought about getting one, but I probably wouldn't use it for long...

I'm dedicated to the Logitech TrackMan...but if Apple made a trackball, it would probably be quite sick, and I could see myself buying a few of them :D

geez .. y is there always a brawl between Mac and Pc users .. i use both .. well i do find limitations in both of em .. but thats the way they are made .. well mac shows off design where as a pc shows off its user compatibility ..

i guess if mac had this mouse made USB compatible .. and not use sum port that only the new macs would use .. i bet pc users would use them too ..

I don't know about you, but the part that excites me about the Mighty Mouse (the name kinda sucks though... Mighty Mouse?? I mean, wasn't that like some cursor changing program name or something? Sounds like a cartoon character... Mighty Mouse to the rescue!) is the scroll button thingy. The whole scroll sideways, upwards and downwards, diagonally thing, sounds like they put one of them nubby trackpoints (those that you'd get with an IBM laptop) on a mouse! I mean, that sure beats my Logitech Traveller (though I still love it dearly).

Next up, let's wait for the Bluetooth and Laser pointer version. But I like.... maybe I'll get one...

I remember reading a rumour maybe last year about Apple coming up with a mouse that'll have a iPod Clickwheel kinda scrolling interface and three buttons. This one isn't that far off. Guess the rumour wasn't all lies after all.

There WAS actually a cartoon character named Mighty Mouse at some point. It would be kind of funny if Apple got sued for using the name.

As for the actual features, I still prefer a normal mouse.

Quote: Apple said that it was granted permission to use the Mighty Mouse name, but offered no other details. Mighty Mouse is a cartoon superhero that was produced by Terrytoons in 1942.

Cheers :P

The MM looks nice. Someone mentioned wishing it was USB. Well, it is. Look at the apple page for it. It tells you the windows requirements to use it!

I just wonder how good a gaming mouse it would be.

That does look pretty good. I like the way it doesn't have any buttons but is heat sensitive instead.

Did anyone notice the "Now Hear This" box on the right hand side? It mentions that the mouse makes "subtle sound effects" when you click and scroll, etc. That must get really annoying after a while, don't you think? I hope there's an option to turn it off!

I can't believe they got rights to use the name from that cartoon thing. Mighty Mouse isn't even that good a name.

Ahh yes it is windows compatible :P .. but drivers ? if apple has to supply a hardware that operates on windows too .. i bet they would have taken driver updates too in mind .. with windows vista comming up .. wonder how good of a " mighty " mouse will this be with windows ..

As for using the name .. lol .. i like " Cartman " better .. looks like him too .. :D

Yeah i got that mouse a few months back. And guess what? I didn't get it for a mac, I got it for my windows system. I actually thought it was pretty nice, with good confortabilty (is that a word??) Anyway, I tried it with AOE3 and it was just ok. I usually stick to my regular mouse for games. ;)

Mighty Mouse even sounds as good as it feels. The audio feedback built into Mighty Mouse provides an aural sensation that responds to your movements. When you scroll or click, Mighty Mouse produces subtle sound effects based on your actions.

I don't see how Apple thinks this feature is a good thing. Am I the only one who would become seriously, severely annoyed by the sound effects? I mean ... I'm the one who, when I first install Windows, has to disable all event sounds because they drive me completely nuts.

But maybe it's just me?

Woohoo!! Logitech mice are really nice, especially the big, optical ones. The better, the more expensive, but I really like Samsung mice too. However, this is a new one...

The Mighty Mouse is a scary innovation and I wouldn't like to work with it. I might try it but I would definitely not buy it. I guess it's a shock to those computer users out there and when they see this thing, they go, "What the heck is this? I might try it though.."

"Don't Have a Ball"... haha yeah uh huh

Yes, I would definitely stick with the other mice for gaming as well ;)
